In 2008, I reread The Sandman and wrote about it. And then I just didn’t read it again. That wasn’t necessarily a conscious choice but I do think there was a part of me that thought I’d gotten everything out of it I was going to.

The Revision: Red Sonja
As a character, it does depend on who is writing Red Sonja, but she’s typically independent, tough, thoughtful, and empathetic. Yes, she’s essentially wearing a bikini of scale armor but her sexuality is rarely the focus (or at least not the only focus).
The Revision: Annie
I’m not going to explain the plot of Annie to you. You’ve seen Annie. You’ve seen the movie a few times by accident and you’ve probably seen the musical. I’m sure there’s a production of it happening in your local community right now.
The Revision: Lady Oscar
I always really want to love Lady Oscar (1979, directed by Jacques Demy) but it is one of my biggest cinematic disappointments.
The Revision: Friday Foster
Friday Foster is a photographer and part-time model that works as an assistant to the famous photographer, Shawn North. Her career takes her from her home in Harlem to all over the world as she manages to get people out of trouble, champion the underprivileged, and, sometimes, find love. She always looks amazing while doing it. If you think this sounds amazing, you’d be right.
